Open source DNA viewer

The ultimate goal of this project is to create a Java based DNA viewer that is both flexible and extendable. The initial phase will involve the design and implementation of a framework that can be used either with this project or other similar projects.

No source code is available yet as the project is still in the prototyping and research phase. As soon as something worthwhile becomes available it will be accessible via the project page.

If are interested in joining this project then send a message to one of the project's administrators (listed on the project page) and the necessary will be done. An understanding in biology is definetly handy, though it is never too late to learn :)
